Radio Talking Book Service

Nebraska's Audio Companion

The Radio Talking Book Network serves Nebraska’s blind and visually impaired community. It provides its listeners with an easy to use alternative method of “reading” in two ways: first, as a constant companion who reads to them what they cannot see; second, as a conduit for local, updated information to assist them in leading self-directed lives. The Radio Talking Book Network broadcasts news and information programming on sub carrier frequencies of National Public Radio affiliates KIOS-FM in Omaha, KUCV-FM in Lincoln and the nine stations of the Nebraska Public Television Network. Special radio receivers are loaned to eligible listeners at no cost.
